Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information afterclick collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We’ve tried to write it in plain language. By using afterclick you agree to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information — ever. We don’t rent it or trade it either. We never use Google user data, your business data, or your private content for advertising, and we don’t use it to train AI models. Full stop.
1. Who we are
afterclick (“afterclick,” “we,” “us”) operates the website at afterclick.ai and the related service — an AI marketing assistant that helps small businesses manage their contacts, run email and SMS campaigns, research competitors, and build and host a website, alongside a governance layer for AI-assisted work. afterclick is the controller of the personal information described here. If you have any questions, contact us any time at info@afterclick.ai.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the service:
- Account information — your name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) your Google profile basics. If you choose to receive SMS, your phone number.
- Google account & connected-service data — if you connect your Google account, we access basic profile information and, only if you grant it, read-only Google Analytics (GA4) data for the properties you choose. We use this to show and summarize your own website traffic and campaign performance back to you inside afterclick. See “Google user data & Limited Use” below.
- Business profile — your business name, address, logo, industry, and line of business, which we use to tailor your marketing and run local competitor research.
- Contacts & CRM data — the contact records (leads and customers) you add or import — names, emails, phone numbers, and notes — which you manage within afterclick.
- Marketing & campaign content — the campaigns, messages, and content you plan, create, and send with afterclick, and their results.
- Website & hosting data — if we build or host a site for you, the site’s content and basic visitor analytics.
- Project & governance data — the workspace, project, roadmap, session activity, and review records you create, plus metadata about the files and changes you connect it to.
- Keys you store — credentials you add to your Keys Bank are encrypted and stored on our servers; we use them only to perform the actions you ask for.
- Usage information — basic logs, device/browser information, and product analytics that help us keep the service reliable.
- Communications — messages you send us (support, email) and your contact and consent preferences.
3. Google user data & Limited Use
When you connect your Google account, afterclick requests read-only access to your Google Analytics data (the analytics.readonly scope) for the properties you choose. We use this data for a single purpose: to display and summarize your own website traffic and marketing performance to you inside afterclick. We do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train machine-learning or AI models.
afterclick’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We only share Google user data with the service providers that operate afterclick for us (for example our hosting and infrastructure providers), and only so they can help us provide the feature to you. You can disconnect your Google account at any time — in your afterclick settings or from your Google Account permissions page — and we will stop accessing your Google Analytics data and delete the copies we hold, except where we must retain limited records to meet a legal obligation.
4. How we use your information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, secure, and improve the service;
- Run the marketing features you turn on — manage your contacts, plan and send email and SMS campaigns, research competitors, and report on performance;
- Build and host a website for you, where you ask us to;
- Run the governance features you turn on (memory, reviews, the ship queue);
- Respond to you and provide support;
- Send service and transactional messages (for example, security alerts, deploy results, and account notices);
- Send marketing messages, where you’ve agreed to receive them (see below);
- Detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical issues; and
- Comply with our legal obligations.
5. Contact data you bring into afterclick
When you add or import your own customers’ and leads’ contact information, or send marketing on their behalf, you are the controller of that data and afterclick acts as your processor — we handle it under your instructions to provide the service. You’re responsible for having the right to use that data and for obtaining any consents required to contact those people. You can export or delete your contact and campaign data at any time.
6. Marketing — email & SMS
Email. With your consent (or where otherwise permitted by law), we may send you marketing emails about features, tips, and updates. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time — we honor opt-outs promptly. We do not use invisible open-tracking pixels.
SMS / text messages. If you opt in by providing your phone number and agreeing, we may send you account and marketing text messages. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe and HELP for help. Opting out of texts won’t affect your ability to use afterclick. We don’t share your mobile number with third parties for their own marketing, and mobile opt-in data is not sold or shared with anyone.
You can change your marketing preferences any time in your account settings or by contacting info@afterclick.ai. You’ll still receive essential service messages even if you opt out of marketing.
7. We do not sell your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it for third-party advertising. We don’t use your Google user data, your business or contact data, or your private code, prompts, and project content to train machine-learning models. If this ever changed, we would update this policy and give you a clear, meaningful choice first.
8. How we share information
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Service providers (subprocessors) who run parts of the service on our behalf — for example hosting/infrastructure, our AI model provider for the engine, our email/SMS delivery providers, and the data providers we use for competitor and local-business research. They may only use the data to perform services for us.
- Legal & safety — when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the service.
- Business transfers — if we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer as part of that deal, subject to this policy.
We never share Google user data except with the subprocessors that operate afterclick for us, and never for advertising or model training.
9. Your code & content
afterclick only accesses what you connect it to. Your content belongs to you. We treat it as confidential and don’t use it to train models or for advertising.
10. Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then retain and delete it according to our retention schedule and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time (see Your rights).
11. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of stored credentials and access controls that keep each workspace’s data isolated. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your data and to respond quickly if something goes wrong.
12. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Receive a copy of your data (portability);
- Disconnect a connected Google account and have us stop accessing its data; and
- Opt out of marketing email and SMS at any time.
To exercise any of these, email info@afterclick.ai. We won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
13. Cookies & analytics
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and a small amount of privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the product is used. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
14. International users
We and our service providers may process and store your information in the countries where we operate. By using afterclick you understand your information may be transferred to and processed in countries with different data-protection laws than your own.
15. Children
afterclick isn’t directed to children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of afterclick after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
